Greenstede Lodge is made up of many men from all walks and cultures of life. Our primary aim is to enjoy ourselves whilst at the same time quietly supporting the local community and if able support national and international requests for help.
Most members of our Lodge enjoy learning about the history of masonry and its traditions and how it has supported and benefited society through the millennia. Others just enjoy the camaraderie of being with similar like-minded people.

Our Lodge normally holds six formal meetings during the autumn, winter and spring months and often meet weekly prior to these meetings to both catch up and practise traditional ceremonies but also enjoy a beer and a catch up afterwards.
We enjoy a healthy membership and pride ourselves in being inclusive and welcoming to all new members and their guests, especially when we hold what is called a white table event. This is where a guest speaker is invited to talk for 45 minutes followed by a lovely informal dinner.
Many differing speakers have held sway within our Lodge giving lectures on how to fly a Vulcan bomber during the Cold War, the curator of Sir Winston Churchill home at Chartwell, a BBC roving international political journalist, and nobody can forget the talk given on the experiences of a battlefield surgeon working under fire in Afghanistan!
