During 2023 Greenstede Lodge supported the following organisations,
which was match funded by the Province of Sussex, therefore,
doubling the money donated to them.
KNOW DEMENTIA
Know Dementia is a support group who meet in the Jubilee Centre in
East Grinstead to provide care and assistance to those suffering with
dementia and their carers. Know Dementia is part of the Dementia
Action Alliance.
STEP-BY-STEP
Step-by-Step is an independent special school for children with autism
spectrum disorder (ASD). The school serves primarily the counties
of Sussex, Kent and Surrey. All subject areas of the national
curriculum are taught in individually designed programmes.
TADPOLES
Tadpoles’ aim is to provide recreational swimming facilities in a safe
environment for people of all ages with disabilities, who could benefit
from swimming and water therapy. We provided funds to enable the
running of the club.
BEING NEIGHBOURLY
Being Neighbourly is a support group for people living in East
Grinstead and the surrounding area who may need assistance. Their
priority is to keep the residents safe and provide them with support
they feel confident in using.
We have also helped the various organisations listed below:
Air Ambulance Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
We havesupported this local charity to enable them to carry out their
magnificent work in being the first at the scene of major incidents
bringing lifesaving care to those that require aid. They then in turn
ferry patients to the nearest hospital to receive the most efficient
medical care possible.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (The Scotson Technique)
Based in East Grinstead this therapy assists patients suffering from
mental and physical conditions including cerebral palsy and autism,
by increasing the oxygen to their body. We provided funds to assist
with the early running of this centre.
Riding for the Disabled (RDA) Newchapel
RDA is a charity providing equestrian therapy challenges and fun for
riders of all ages, with varying disabilities. This gives the participants
the experience of horse riding and the wide benefit this brings. We
again provided funds to aid the running of this activity
AGE UK – East Grinstead and District
AGE UK is an independent charity working in East Grinstead to offer
support and services to older people. We provided the funds to
purchase specialist visual units to help people suffering from
dementia.
Bloomin’ Arts. Lingfield
Bloomin’ Arts is an independent charity providing opportunity for
people with learning difficulties to enable to them to enjoy developing
skills and perform works in the arts field. We provided funds for
them to expand their art facilities.
Young Epilepsy, Dormansland
Young Epilepsy is a UK charitable school, working exclusively with
young people suffering with epilepsy. We have provided funds for the
extension and modification of their specialist library.
